Fox Point Residents,
The Document Review Committee will be meeting on Thursday, September 19th at 7pm in the Clubhouse. There is only one topic that will be discussed which should be of interest to each homeowner … Violation Letters. Specifically, the cost incurred by the HOA associated with these letters. Since its incorporation, the Fox Point HOA has been bearing the administrative, paper and postage cost of letters sent to homeowners in violation of Architectural Guidelines. The HOA is YOU, ME our NEIGHBOR — meaning collectively we have been bearing the costs associated with the management company sending the letters notifying the homeowner of a violation, and in some cases continuing repeat violations. As is currently set up, there is no incentive for the homeowner to make corrections because there is no policy nor procedure to assess a fine on the homeowner — just another letter. Several homeowners have approached the board to update our enforcement of violations by charging those violators for these costs. The Committee will be taking this up and reviewing proposed changes to the Enforcement Policy.
We appreciate your input and hope to see you on the 19th.
Charles Hess, Chairman
