Pickleball Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Fox Point residents of all ages are cordially invited to a Ribbon-Cutting Celebration for the new pickleball courts on Friday, July 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the courts. (Rain date is Friday, July 29.) The ribbon-cutting itself will take place promptly at 7:15. A group of players (Cindy Fiske, Pat Hood, Robin Coppock, Debbie Simpson and I) are sponsoring this event both as a thank-you to the Board and to introduce pickleball to the neighborhood. Activities will include a ribbon-cutting by Board members, socializing, a demonstration of pickleball including rules and scoring, and open play for everyone, coached by experienced players, with paddles provided. Sound like fun?? Please bring a chair and a finger-food snack or a drink to share. Beer and wine are fine, and a volunteer will man the drink table to assure that only people 21-and-over have access to alcohol. The sponsoring group will furnish citrus-infused ice water, Gatorade, ice for drinks that guests bring, cups and napkins. RSVPs are requested but not required, either by Nextdoor private message or to vacristine@aol.com. Come and get acquainted with pickleball, a sport gaining popularity every day!
